General Assembly 1st Regular Session - 2025 Bills
HB 164 - Highways, bridges, and ferries; allowable variance for weight limitations upon a vehicle or load; repeal automatic repeal provisions (Truck Weights - Removal of Sunset Date)
Status: Unanimously passed House Transportation Committee, to Rules Committee for vote to advance to the Full House of Representatives
Action Needed by SWPA Members: Call your State Representative request that they support HB 164, when it comes to the House Floor.
SB 68 - Civil Practice; substantive and comprehensive revision of provisions regarding civil practice, evidentiary matters, damages,
and liability in tort actions; provide (Governor's TORT Reform bill)
Status: Approved by Full GA Senate on 02-21-2025. Now moves to the House of Representatives for first reading and committee assignment.

SB 69 - Georgia Courts Access and Consumer Protection Act (Tort Reform Bill - 3rd Party Financing and other items)
Status: 02/11/2025 Senate Committee Favorably Reported By Substitute, in Rules Committee for approval to move to Senate Floor
